Pension Credit Clinics

Citizens Advice Eastleigh are holding a series of pop-ups around the Borough this autumn promoting the uptake of Pension Credit - the means-tested benefit for people who have reached state pension age.

This benefit is widely under-claimed, with an estimated 1,000 people in our Borough who qualify, but aren't claiming. That amounts to approximately £2,000,000 of unclaimed benefits just here in Eastleigh. We're really keen to reach as many people as we can to help with the rising cost of living, especially as winter comes near.

Pension Credit is important as it passports claimants to other help too - which can include money off council tax, prescriptions, eye tests and more such as the Winter Fuel Payment (to qualify for the Winter Fuel Payment, you need to apply for Pension Credit by the 21st December, so it's important you take prompt action).
